Not all vegans are making the choice to eat a plant based diet because their bodies are temples. Really! It’s just a fucking ethical choice. I don’t want animals to be harmed just so I can eat is a pretty reasonable sentiment.
Whilst there are often some really good things that incorporate a healthy choice, vegans have been crying out for food that is just a filthy and bad for you as their carnivorous counterparts, but find it hard to locate it.
Falmouth’s Meat Counter provides an unlikely solution to this problem in the launch of its new vegan menu.
“I wanted to create a really filthy burger so vegans don’t feel restricted to making healthy choices. Everyone needs a blow out now and again. The Hail Seitan burger has been months in development and we have a tasty range of fake meat: ‘fakon’ jackfruit ‘pulled pork’ and hand crafted seitan burgers.”
In addition the new menu boasts a selection of wings and the much awaited halloumi fries for those wishing to make carb-free choices. The new menu goes live today 28 March.
The company has always focused on provenance, and all of their meat is supplied by Phillip Warrens family butchers.
