We're a UK foodie collective obsessed with discovering and promoting the very best of British food, drink and produce. This includes any food and drink that you can find in Britain, regardless of where it came from, originally!
How did we get here? Tasting Britain came into being in mid 2012, when Jack met Bryony. The two of us, realising a shared passion for food and drink, quickly decided to found a food blog - at first as something of an experiment.
Since then, we've grown faster and come further than either of us expected. The site's gone from strength to strength and evolved from a simple blog into a what we're now calling a food collective. Towards the middle of 2013, we got a site upgrade and seriously started taking on a growing roster of contributors. Each of them has brought different passions, perspectives and areas of expertise to the site.
What does TB do? Lots of stuff! We provide restaurant and venue reviews, mainly in London and the South East but also in a few other regions as our community grows.
We also post hints, tips and recipes for cooking and baking, food industry news, the occasional product review and any other exciting food and drink information we think and hope that you might like to read.
We're all about the love of food and drink in all of it's forms and giving everybody involved a chance to be heard.
Hi all, my name is Bryony and I am a co-founder of this website (although certainly not the technical brains). By day I am a PR consultant for a science and technology specialist agency called Proof Communication. Through my job and outreach to journalists I met the lovely Jack, who turned out to be someone who I shared a lot of interests and opinions with.
I love food, probably far too much if I'm honest. Although, I don't just like to eat it, I also love to cook and bake, which probably descends from my love of getting creative and ... let's face it... making a mess!
On our blog I will be helping Jack to write restaurant reviews and the occasional Q&A but I will mainly look after product reviews, book reviews, recipes and news. As well as coordinating competitions and guest bloggers for the site.

Greetings! I'm Jack, the other founder at Tasting Britain. By day I write words (I'm a contract copywriter and occasional journalist). By night I write other things, like harsh jazz music and huge philosophical tracts that very few people read.
I'm the guy who generally organises most of the industry profiles, product information and restaurant write-ups for the website, having been a food writer/blogger some time before we founded Tasting Britain.
Also I like lifting things up and putting them down for fun and so a lot of the recipes I share will have the word 'protein' in them. I provide most of the photography in our image galleries.
Asides from writing reviews and pestering eateries all over the UK for information, I'll be doing everything else. What 'everything else' actually entails after all these years? I'm still not sure :3
